Gilchrist & Soames Introduces Forest Elements™ Collection
With Naturally Kind™ Formulations, Forest Elements is among the most
eco-friendly amenities available today


INDIANAPOLIS (November 9, 2008) — Gilchrist & Soames is pleased to announce the Forest Elements™ Collection, which offers hoteliers and their guests luxurious and eco-friendly toiletry products, will be on display at IHMRS booth 2756.

This collection, which is available now, is the first to use Gilchrist & Soames' new proprietary Naturally Kind™ formulations, which contain no sulfates (SLS/SLES), DMDM hydantoin, parabens, phthalates, petrol-derived ingredients, mineral oil, urea, DEA, TEA or propylene glycol. They do feature food-grade, naturally derived USP glycerin; natural conditioning agents from honey and the Brassica plant; and soybean and cottonseed oil, instead of petrochemicals. The formulations are also free of any artificial colours or dyes.

Christina Mavity, Gilchrist & Soames Research and Development Director, explains, "We are proud to introduce our Naturally Kind™ formulations. The surfactant products, shampoo and shower gel, are sulfate-free, yet create rich and satisfying foam and give guests the experience they expect from luxury bath and body amenities. As well, the body lotion in our premium formulations contains Natural Moisturising Factors (NMF) of olive oil and vitamin E."

The four Forest Elements™ liquid products—Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash and Body Lotion—are available in both 30 ml (1 fl oz) and 60 ml (2 fl oz). The luxurious liquids include a blend of aloe, Provitamin B5 and Vitamin E, ingredients known for their soothing and nourishing properties.

The packaging features a soft, fresh color palette and nature-inspired graphics to convey the ethos of the collection. The tube resin is highly recyclable high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with dispensing caps for ease of use.

The collection also offers three gentle, vegetable-based soaps that contain copaiba oil, known for its emollient, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, and aloe for its moisturizing and softening effects. The soaps are available in 1.25 oz (35g) and 3 oz (85g) sizes.

The liquids and soaps feature the fresh and gender-neutral Forest Elements™ fragrance, which opens with top notes of green cucumber and an ozone accord, followed by a heart of violet, apple, muguet and jasmine, and supported by a soft woody base.

To round out the collection, Forest Elements™ offers a full range of necessity products in complementary packaging.
